Like many job seekers, I struggled to navigate the complicated job market when I was trying to start my career. You ever heard of the old saying “sink or swim?” Well, that phrase was the perfect way to describe my job search. Sinking wasn’t an option, so I learned to swim, and I swam quickly and landed my first job as an HR professional.
Throughout my HR career, I have been privileged to work with many hiring managers to recruit top talent. I discovered I had an eye for evaluating talent, and the ones who stood out were the ones whose professional stories were a “best seller.”
My recruiting background was very enticing to my friends and family, and they soon started coming to me to help them #getnoticed in this unforgiving job market. After creating resumes for some friends and family and conducting some interview prep sessions, #GetNoticed Resume Writing and More was born.
You will often hear me refer to a resume as a “best seller.” You might ask, what does that have to do with anything? Imagine reading a book and getting bored after the first chapter. You probably aren’t going to want to continue. The same applies to your resume. Tell a story that is going to keep the reader engaged.
I love using my insider knowledge to help others personally brand themselves to achieve their career goals.
Are you ready to #GetNoticed?
